Llanrug, Wales

This diorama takes inspiration from a real place. The real shack and garage are located in Llanrug, Wales, on 5 Plastirion Ter road. I had to modify the scene ever so slightly – for example, I omitted the old fuel pumps which would stand in the way, and instead of a sidewalk and an asphalt road, I used old concrete slabs for a more rural look. But the buildings themselves are almost an exact replica of the real things. I might’ve spiced things up with a few enameled signs from my own “production”, but the spirit of the real place is definitely there!
