Chevrolet G7107
Probably the first model I bought specifically for a diorama. All my other dioramas started the opposite way – I was interested in the model itself, and later I designed a diorama around it. Here it was the other way round (and some diorama artists would argue that this is the right way) – I had a diorama idea and needed a suitable model to “populate” it.
These new Miniart kits are near perfect. The amount of detail is unbelievable, and you get just the right amount of photo-etch in the kit to build it completely out of the box yet end up with an almost perfect replica of the real thing.
The only regret I have is the poorly chosen markings. The emblem on the doors is something that wasn’t used in Europe, and because I’ve set this model in my Water Mill diorama, the markings don’t make any sense.
